Rad10, are you saying these corporate bonds are unsecured?  I've been an equity guy most of my life but hoping to follow up on some of these dumpsters on the bond side.  Did well on a highly distressed oil that went "poof".  Had unsecured debs but that was more luck than skill!!!
 
I can't even find these bonds on RBC which is apparently the "largest bond inventories in Canada".

I'm a bond virgin and feel I need some experience... LOL  ;-)

A scheduled restructuring prior to a default will get you a little more than the common shareholders - but at the end of the day the note is unsecured and trading accordingly.
