I really could care less

Let them short all they want. If I believe this is a great company, has great management, has great fundamentals, is in the sector that as a future,., The shorters, whether naked or not, I could get their head handed to them at a moments notice.
I would learn how to trade, take advantage of short-term drops, study the past moves, Watch the overall market and sector and smile when I get this opportunity. Without shorting there is little or no volatility. On a good stock you buy or add on weakness and sell a few into strength. Today, for example, buying at the open and selling at 43 and then buying at 42 and selling at 43 here now trading 1000 shares, leaves $2000 in your pocket and you still have your long position to run. So what if you miss a few dollars into the close. You still have your long position.
Cxr... Like I said earlier watch the high of the week today and tomorrow. We definitely need a nice white candle after all those red ones on the week.

The IIROC has a mandate to protect investors from abusive market manipulations ...more

Yes I see that. If I had bought a thousand shares at 100.00 on my brokerage recommendations, and was 70 years old, I would be very upset. Guess I was trying to say if this is as good as it appears, everyone should have a big smile on their face in 6 months to a year.
