Post-earnings price estimate...

What's everyone opinon on where this closes on Friday? I like to think $40+ but with the recent light volume and current at ~$38.50ish, not sure if that's gona happen.

Thoughts?

Might be time for another contest SC1? textbooks have shown us that if we get a big enough sample, the herd is usually correct. I say CXR closes above $40 on friday. I will pick $43.95.

I watched the sp til noon today and then was too busy to check it until the close. I was so happy all afternoon thinking my guess was going to be way low..:( then when I checked after close I saw that I was right on. Pretty disappointing. Just shows how much damage has been done and that it might take a few quarters to get sp back on track. can't use logic at all to make price estimate at the ...more

OK. I will put my 3c.  Looking at daily and weekly charts, I would guess that if SP breaks $48 and holds, we can close the week at resistance of $52.4. If not I'd say close around $47-sh. We have our first green week after 9 red ones, so don't expect a lot of next week but if we close green, over $45, it will be super bullish.

I am proposing myself as a winner of Nov. 20 contest. I have actually, technically explained my pick. Now, why I keep losing money? :)

I think you won by the published predictions. ...however ...I am seeing a lot of "if's" in your original prediction LOL I predicted $46.05 and was obviously way off. But that is not so far off from your guess of $47ish if it did not break $48 and hold. If I were to conditionally guess what the stock price would be IF it broke $48 AND held, obviously I would have guessed much ...more

Was this meant as a joke? If so you have me laughing. The mid of Bollinger bands is just a simple moving average. With 20 periods and what appears to be 2 minute periods, you are basically saying that the price at close was equal to the simple moving average of 20, 2 minute periods before close. This is hardly a revelation, in fact, if you were to test this out on a wide range of stocks you would ...more
