all this optimisim

Have had a large position at 41. Am I missing something? All the optimisim but NO  share price appreciation. Have an order in now for 700 at 38.50. Own 1300 already at an average price of 41..
What is going to take this thing further?

Time!  I think a lot of people are expecting too much too soon.  There is still a dark cloud hanging over the health sector and a lot people are a little sceptical to step in yet.  As earnings are released quarter by quarter, it will become obvious that great things are happening at CXR and debt re-payment isn't an issue.  This thing isn't going to skyrocket overnight ...more

I couldn't agree more. I am reading a few too many posts saying double or to $100 by Christmas. While that would be nice, it can typically take longer than that for market sentiment to turn. We may not see a big jump in this stock until we have fully consolidated financials. So while the upcoming earnings release may give the stock jump. It will not innoculate the stock from shorts trying to ...more

Thing is, there are two basic emotions on the markets FEAR and GREED. These health stock are all stuck in FEAR right now. This is when you need to fundamentals and technical analysis. The fundamentals are strong on CXR CXRX and the technical? Well, we just had two *sginificant* TA indicator showing short term price of 58-63. Once we reach that point, the other TA indicators turn, momentum ...more

Agreed. But the only negative i keep hearing is about the fear of Concordia's high debt to equity ratio. Once people realize that increasing revenues and cash flows take care of interest costs and a nice margin for debt repayment and/or expansion of its product line to improve these metrics even further, this fear should be dispelled. Those that research this and make these conclusions on ...more

"Maybe, they do not read financials too well." ... I'm sure they do, but one misstep and their credibility goes down the drain. Better to get in at $50 when all is clear and just beat the index by 1% and you are a hero. LOL

I doubt they are a hero if the market will include CXR from below $40 CAD and major houses like RBC and Zacks are recommending buys now. I would think they will get the boot for missing this amazing opportunity and sit on the fence. Possiblly, they are shorting and/or hoping to get in at a lower price. To me, they are losing credibility by just saying debt is too high without checking if the ...more

Agreed Adamchess. But MM and Fund Managers don't always think as retail. They wait for the buy signal. Not a TA signal, not a fundamental signal but a momentum signal. Yes the TA signal and the fundamental (Q3) signal can be the catalyst. But the smart money is waiting for a real signal..... a momentum sign. In this case the signal may be when it starts climbing and reaches 45-55. Then they ...more

Very interesting just like a good chess game. LOL Most people will not appreciate this comparison. However, don't the MMs and fund managers have the ability to make the market move up on this one, the same as shorts can make it go down? Besides isn't there a very good chance Concordia will become a takeover target at these severely undervaluations and a nice surprise pop in sp? If you are ...more

Unfortunately they would rather miss the party then show up and catch a temporary cold. adamchess wrote: Very interesting just like a good chess game. "seems to be a lack of direction in the market at present. As a result, many are sitting on the sidelines" .... absolutely. But when market sentiment turns positive (think Xmas rally) the inflows to CXR should be good IMO.

I agree.  It seems to me that resources, oil and Canadian health stock are all under negative light.   Just remember people that you might have a lot of money on this but an insider recently purchased $120K USD worth of shares ($160K).  That's no small change. Buffet, Lynch all all value investors buys when others sell and so do ! especially when I see insider buys.  It ...more
