Donnatal Efficacy?

For Irritable Bowel Syndrome "I am a 45 year old male who has suffered from IBS since my teens. Nothing has been successful until I went to Italy and learned about Donnatal. When I returned to the States i asked my Dr. about Donnatal and he said it was an old medicine, which he hasn't prescribed in years. He gave me a prescription and my pains, and loose bowl movements have stopped. I have been taking this medicine for 3 months and now I can function normally.. now I have my life back. I reported this to my Dr. who was surprised and has started to prescribe it again with some great feedback. I find the liquid Donnatal works best. I can even drink Coffee again."

"I had been seeing G.I. specialist for months for intermittent nausea and vomiting that led to horrible stomach and chest pain. My G.I. tried everything, nothing seemed to worked, I even threw up on Zofran twice(strongest anti-nausea medicine you can get). I wind up in the ER about monthly for complications with dehydration and anemia, and at the ER I was put on Donnatal. Donnatal was a ...more

"My GI Doctor has tried half a a dozen different drugs for my IBS and none could seem to to do the trick. I pretty much gave up all hope until during my yearly physical my PCP (who has been practicing 35 years) mentioned I tried a much older drug called Donnatal. He told me it was an old drug but proven effective time and time again. I filled the script and immediately started taking it. I ...more

No need to post more; I'm sure anyone looking into the drug has read these long ago. Controlled studies, and sample sizes are what matters.

Anecdotal evidence is enough to convince you of a drug's efficacy, in this day and age? We do have better processes, such as double blind studies. Don't rely on others personal experiences/opinions either in picking medications or stocks. Processes for collecting reliable data improve over time; take advantage of that. Don't be lazy.

Both of you are heartless human beings. I am okay financially, I don't depend on any stock. But you guys would rather have a drug taken off the market to negatively impact a company rather than allow sick people to feel better. Why would you make fun of and laugh at people with health conditions? quote=IatticeInExiIe] LMFA!
"Why would you make fun of and laugh at people with health conditions?" ... Because that's who they are.

Why is Concordia being asked about the efficiency of Donnatel when this product has existed for ages? Surely, it has been found to significantly benefit customers or it would have been tossed out years ago. The whole attack by shorts makes no sense. Sales force was increased recently to boost sales of this product.

sorry, meant to say effectiveness or efficacy not efficiency?

The shorts make it up as they go along with impunity from alleging accounting irregularities to the efficacy of donanatal. It is all BS, but the herd is getting scared and dumping their shares. This downward cycle will end once CXR posts a couple more quarters of solid earnings. Once that happens and it will, this stock will rise like a rocket.  I'm sticking around for the ride up ...more

Here is a quick scenario in which you could have no paper losses and sleep better.  Suppose you bought 500 shares of CXR around June 15 when it was trading at about 30$ for a total of CAD 15,000$. Whether you did it to average down or not is irrelevant as this applies only to the newly bought shares. Now, you saw like everyone how volatile the SP can be and you decide to buy a bunch of ...more

You are very kind, sharing your insights with a board that has, recently, been a little unkind to you.

Good context and reminder that this company is pushing out about $CDN 7 bucks a year adj EPS with the GBP dropping another 10% factored in. Straight from RBC.

The letters from the fda to cancodia on this fda regulations site could have easily been fabricated. Also the letter from Cancordias lawyer.  I don't believe that this drug is not fda approved fully and I don't believe that the fda requested this if they did I'm sure that the ceo would have handled it properly.  It is only one drug out of hundreds anyways.

Thanks for the link. I read the letter to the FDA and their response/ The auther says the FDA denied request for delay which is not true. What else is fictional in the article?  Below my response to comments made in the article by the author. Not sure why you say the FDA had denied Concordia request for delay the process when the lawyers said they would provide info by June 30, 2015 and ...more

That sums up what the shorts are all about. They don't give a cr*p about any decent long investors. If the whole Concordia model was fraudulent or faulty, it would eventually come out after a few years of failing results. Why are shorts allowed to borrow shares of proper investors in order to use against them to damage the SP to such a large degree of 85% or so of available shares? It seems ...more
If the financials don't work, stocks are going down anyway. Shorts won't take down a solid company, so why worry if your not going to sell now.  'Alleged' and/or real shorts have provided far more information regarding potential issues/outcome of the company than management. The possibily exists that you may look back at some point, reconsider and regret your ...more
