if i understand, they want to  pay 0.50 per share to minority shareolders. if that's it.....   i will vote   NO.

Very true , they always go after the little guy and judges  on stand by ready to sign anything  for a buck.

Anyone in BC?  I think a minority shareholder needs to appear before that judge.  Could probably even do it without a lawyer, although for a corporate or bankruptcy lawyer on your side would certainly be an asset.

I find it amusing (sad actually) that anyone still invests in Catalyst Paper.  The company filed for creditor protection in Jan 2012, and wiped out all of its shareholders in the process (bond holders also took a good haircut).  Catalyst re-listed and re-issued common shares shortly thereafter (Jan 2013, I believe) for $2.00/share.  These shares are now worth $0.65 and will soon be ...more

It's too bad that feel offended but I stand by my comments.  There were more than enough signs over the last few years that this company would not be successful.  If I were you I would sell right away before the price drops to $0.50. Just my 50 cents worth (excuse the pun).
