RE: Trading data todayI now understand this post. I ordered 50,000 shares of V.LLC and it did not show up on the bid lot. I thought this was strange so I called my broker TD. TD told me there is a new alpha exchange and they put my order on the alpha exchange. I asked why would they put my order on an alpha exchange. He said to get the order filled quicker.
my order filled after about 5 hrs but did not show up on the day trading numbers. The company only showed 45,500 shares traded today....
Looks to me like Td is saving tsx commisions and cross trading with themselves. This new alpha exchange makes trading volumes very misleading.
