Very nice to see this kind of positive move , altho not sure it will last into next week if the debt ceiling talks stall further. Dont trust the Biden regime to be very cooperative with congress... so far they have been anything but in dealing with the Republicans..

No doubt the market is pricing in a 100% slam dumk, closed case deal. Any snag, even a hint of a delay and a lot of this exhuberance could get washed away. Then again, none of us know, that's why it's always important to stay invested with some available cash ready to pounce.

Republicans are trying to negotiate whether to pay bills for purchases already made.  Biden doesn't need to negotiate anything.

 No Biden doesnt think overspending the budget by trillions is important , so he flew off the JAPAN to hobnob with the G-7 countries. Hopefully the puppet strings reach far enough so he doesnt make a fool of himself trying to speak intelligently.

Trump raised the debt ceiling 3x even as he cut taxes and ran up the debt by 8 trillion.

Trump also loosened bank regulations in 2018 which helped cause the recent financial crises. Regardless, the bigger the selloff the better the buy opportunity. In 2011 the debt ceiling selloff then was 19%. That was enough to send the VIX over 40, a level only surprassed recently by covid, the 2015 oil crises and the 2008 financial crises. Basically in a nutshell  , if the US was a consumer, it would be akin to getting a credit card with a billion $ limit  4 years ago, and finding out that with interest rates hikes, you can no longer make payments, so what is the answer, a new credit card is issued with a 50 billion $ limit  that is even  harder to make payment s on with high interest rates, Eventually you are ...more
