DFN unit nav to April 25 = $15

Have the unit nav now at threshhold for paying... was a bit surprising that holdings came back after the open. Will see what the next few weeks brings. DFN  commons with a value of $4.86 after distributions.

We're in sync, MM. I have the NAV right at the threshold with one more day remaining to capture the dividend. We have an entire month to make up the $0.146 to get to the threshold once we trade ex-dividend next week. People still seem intent on buying every dip, and the positive earnings reports just released from the behemoths Alphabet and Microsoft bode well for sentiment tomorrow morning.

Holding DFN lately is akin to holding a stick of lit dynamite. We've had 20 or so days of daily record highs on indices so far this year and yet DFN is still only at the threshold of paying.   Sadly, DFN is in its twilight before it finally requires consolidation to save it. In the interim, there are still many months before that will happen but holding it without regard may end up ...more

There a number of stocks that DFN holds (If they still have them) which have not performed well in the past year. In particular BCE,T and ENB are all down around 30% in the past year Nor does the near term look bright for these stocks .The whole portfolio  seems to be in need of a serious re-evaluation by Quadravest if we expect to get away from hovering around the $15 area.According to ...more

Being Canadian focussed only does hamper the fund managers' ability to find 15 great dividend payers especially when our economy is faltering behind the US.
