RE: TSX another 52 week low - or 4 year low

RE: TSX another 52 week low - or 4 year lowSo if the TSX Composite Index has fallen to 2004 levels just subtract 5 years of your life and start thinking you are in October 2004. Then start investing from there. My question is does the book value of DML still mean anything? Is DML going to drop more? If we sink below 7000 on the TSX composite Index then I will be getting concerned.

It is scary in terms of all those gains lost. But not scary when you are building from the ground up. When the media starts reporting some positive news in the economy then some gains will return. I'm really angry with the banks even in Canada. I still see them pushing credit cards onto people in shopping malls. I also ask myself about the person filling out the forms. Are they competent when asking the people about their income.

Keep this in mind: "As of October 2008, the world's population is estimated to be about 6.7 billion (6,700,000,000). The world's population, on its current growth trajectory, is expected to reach nearly 9 billion by the year 2042."

These people are going to have wants and needs. We need clean water, we need good shelter form the elements, we need food, transportation (cars), we need oil and gas, cloths, radio, TV, computers, and electricity etc. The economy grew too fast since 5 years. Until people shift from a credit driven society to a money driven economy will the problem stop.
