Indigenous consultation
I'm not saying that Loma Larga will never see the light of day. But the most revealing/damaging comment from someone who makes a living following LatAm mining is this gem:
... the project did not comply with Ecuador’s prior consultancy laws because the local indigenous population had never been consulted on the project by the company (or previous owners).
I am at an age where I probably have another 10 years of investing left. At a certain age, I expect I'll probably lose interest. As I understand it, Loma Larga is a big part of Dundee's future, or at least as the future is envisioned today. Why would I bother?
