Values Ovintiv 180,000 Permian acres at  roughly 18% of 60 B or $10.8 B, not far off OVV market cap. (Pioneer has about 1,000,000 Permian acres). That leaves Uinta which is 130,000 acres of ...more

Don't forget that Cenovus made decision to largely end hedging in April 2022 after their disastrous one quarter near billion dollar (970 million)  hedging losses in Q1 2022. . They have less ...more

Hedge book looks good too. Capex gonna run high in Q3 due to in-process wells from the acquisition but higher oil prices will offset that.

Why does OVV always feel like a better investment when share price is strong, and some thing to be avoided when proces are low.  It should be the opposite if our analysis is correct  ...more
