Trading Volume

Interesting that the trading volume for last Friday was the highest in the past 3 years. In less than a day and a half, the SP has now dropped close to 7% but wIth over 15 million traded on Friday, we now have shareholders who were considerably more optimistic than our current price would indicate. Could be an entertaining day tomorrow. GLTA

I think Friday was a product of the s&p delisting.

While that explains the unusual volume, it still means that some firms were willing to snap up 15 million shares at a price about 7% higher than where we currently sit. I agree - I am curious who snapped up those shares. It must have been a coordinated effort. The only ones who could have absorbed that amount is Ecn or north peak but who knows.
