Nephrologists have ALWAYS been interested in and close to our Toraymyxin ( PMX ) development. Septic shock is a "horrible event" for human organs regardless of the outcome. A decrease in blood pressure leads to a lack of oxygen in the blood, dying cells, endotoxin generation ( endotoxemia ) and an initial attack on our kidneys, followed by a cascade of damage to other organs, The "organ cross-talk" is very real and critical to life and death and perhaps more importantly "costs to our health care system"
