He's almost a quarter into his new 'full time' role at Spectral and is likely getting anxious to start receiving his full compensation. It would be a shame and an embarrassment to head back home to your friends and colleagues with little to show for the previous two years of hard work up at Spectral HQ.

His focus needs to be on getting enrollment up to 10 /month ASAP.  Then there should be plenty of time to complete the task, and get back to the lecture halls. Especially if the Interim data is good.

Although, if the results from the latter enrollee's are as good as the early enrollee's stats are purported to be...he won't need his University position to buy groceries.  The really smart professors figure out how to cash in by "lending their talents to" private industry.
