RE:Acacia news taking long

RE:Acacia news taking longHey MD,

These are two large & complex businesses. Could take a long time to do DD and agree terms (if it proves possible to do so). A deal is certainly not guaranteed, because ACA shareholders will have to concede quite a lot for the deal to be attractive to EDV shareholders. Not easy to figure out how to combine a high growth but non-dividend paying business with a more staid one that does pay a divvy, in a manner that satisfies both sets of shareholders.

Then, of course, there's the issue of who would be in charge of the combined entity and which superfluous executives get the sack and on what terms. [saving one set of corporate costs is clearly a beneift from the combination].

Yup, a progressive dividend and a London listing would certainly sweeten the pot from my POV.

I'm not too fussed, however, if it turns out to be "no deal". I'd rather that than a poor deal.

Cheers.
Mark
