RE:RE:RE:tC - TGZ and EDV
Talking to myself now.  What happens if one holds a short position in TGZ - is that position automatically converted over to EDV shares.  I have found any conclusive direction on that.  anyway, the only reason for abritrage opportunities on mergers is if there is a risk of it not going through.  I don't see that at all here - unlike semafo because of regulatory issues (semafor was always trading at a discount).  TGZ and EDV trade - on average - exactly the same.  moments either way but as said, the buying/selling will cause price changes.  as i have mentioned before, i've gone to hit the "ask" on EDV on 2 occassions before only to have that order "disappear" or "front runned" by an automated process - and no other reason other my order was somehow visible coming through.  i can't believe that's legal.
