Endeavour Mining plc is a United Kingdom-based senior gold producer with operating assets across Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso. The Company has a portfolio of advanced development projects and exploration assets in the highly prospective Birimian Greenstone Belt across West Africa. It operates mines that include Hounde Mine, Ity Mine, Mana Mine and Sabodala-Massawa Mine. The Hounde Mine is located approximately 250 kilometers (kms) southwest of Ouagadougou, the capital city of Burkina Faso. The Hounde Mine is owned by the Company (90%) and Government of Burkina Faso (10%). It owns approximately 85% of Ity Mine, which is located 480 kms northwest of Abidjan in southern Cote d'Ivoire. The Mana Mine is located approximately 200 kms west of Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. The Sabodala-Massawa Mine is approximately 640 kms southeast of Dakar, the capital of Senegal. RE:RE:RE:Theories Yeah, I was just curious why EDV went up a bunch and then dropped a bunch so quickly.  And being taken out of the MSCI listing would explain that.  
My observation of EDV trading is that when it goes up nicely , usually on price of gold increases, there isn't much profit taking.  And in the past when it has invariably gone down again, often a few days later,  it has been on bad news: price of gold down, and  GDX down,  mostly.  Bad news about EDV is very rare.  

And of course there is big money to be made, % wise, with these 3,4 even 5% swings.  If one could predict them.   I like to play around in my TFSA , where there are no tax consequences, slowly increasing the number of shares I have of EDV in that.  Looks like the opportunity for that might be ending if all the prognosticators are correct and gold price goes on a mostly unbroken run up.
