RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Added today at $4.18Goldqueen2 - Trump and a whole slew of his people (like Peter Navaro) are highly sensitive to trade issues and consider US economic security the real issue with US national security. In addition, Trump likes negotiation power. What happens if the US says they're okay not having a domestic fuel source and then later down the road some other spats occur between the US and, say, Canada? It's a matter of leverage. Trump doesn't want the US to ever be held hostage by the fact that they're reliant on other countries for critical elements of its economy.
The best long term plan for the Trump government here would be to establish quotas and then also provide subsidies for the utilities (nuclear power plants) in order to maintain the 'entire' nuclear industry. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this is exactly what he ends up doing.
As for all your "I told you sos", you realize that nothing has actually happened yet. So your confidence on this issue is confusing. If new policies are put in place to help support the uranium mining industry in the US, what exactly will your position be then? Something tells me we won't hear from Goldqueen2 anymore.
