Good point. But it doesn't mean it's an unstoppable trend. They invested in increasing the production capacity in 2008, so the bigger loss is normal. There isn't much companies that are profitable day one, other than slow growing ones.
The company states that their masks can be used for a long period of time.
That means a one time sale per person.

Well, the market is still huge - there's alot of ppl our there. Plus, not beccause they can be used for a long period of time, it means the mask are eternal! They must be replaced at some point.
Plus they don't just have face mask - that is a small part of the buisness. They have air filters for train, planes & even pig farms...
So they soak a face mask in hand sanitizer and market it as an anti-microbial mask.
I hope that one was a joke...
