RE:Will ELD face higher taxes and/or royalties in Greece?First and foremost this article is a repeat of old news. The share added almost a dollar from the lows since the news came first . Seeking Alpha posters are entitled to their opinion.
Seeking Alpha had opinions about Yahoo and TKMR among others, I differed and made heaps.
Our opinion which by no means represent what might happen is that the share price has already discounted a worst case scenario for the mine, that is no more mining. ELD share now will go up and down with gold price and market performance, mining shares nowadays track both the underlying commodities and to an extent the TSX index, a rising general market enhances volume and price even if the commodities are flat or slightly down.
Despite increased production cost per oz of paid gold , cost of production remains among the lowest in the industry.
We think 6.50 or thereabouts is the fair market value of ELD sans Greece mine at currrent gold price.
