It was an ugly night in Greece. Hundreds of thousands of protesters were posting on walls everywhere a replica of a required permit for the Olympias Eldorado mill. Even cats and dogs were wearing the permits around their neck while the military were half-heartedly controlling some crowds chanting O Canada while pasting the millions of fake permits everywhere.
'Sorry I like Greek potatoes, you know, but sometimes I want a hamburg too' chimed in one villager who just punched a local patron in an outsde caf telling him to go hug trees in the forest and to get out town. One woman said ' Eldorado will help us regain our place in the world , I cant even afford a new pillow at Costco'.
One group of environmentalists were responding with a petition in 23 languages. Villagers fought back by slashing car tires encouraging green groups to walk back and live in the sticks and not pollute their modern air conditioned cafs.
The Greek penchant for indecent exposure was apparent in Athens where Greek girls
everywhere took to wearing fake gold watches on theirl legs with furs there too, encouraging the gold mine carnage.
Greek governement official immedietely sent Chief Administrative District Examiner from the Olympias County Regional parliament to prepare within the coming days a written reply to the riot leaders imploring them to learn about and respect their interpretation of the local legislation.
The official was seen retruning home riding a mule, naked on a local road.
