RE:RE:RE:Let's Have A Federal Election In Canada ASAP !! Oil boards are often prone to disinformation for some reason.
The artcile claims that countries that did not lockdown are doing just as well as countries that did, and names Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and Sweden as examples. Somehow it fails to address why Sweden has a death toll of 571 per million, whereas in Norway it's 47, Finland 60, Denmark 107. It fails to mention that Sweden's minister of finance said that the country's economy would be just as hard hit by the pandemic as other countries in the EU, even though they had not locked down.
It fails to mention that Taiwan, not being part of WHO, implemented measures against the pandemic as early as January 1st, as their doctors were getting info from Chinese doctors that the disease was much worse than China and the WHO were telling the world. They acted on Jan 1st. Not February or March like most countries.
It fails to mention that Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan are countries that wear masks on a regular basis.
And that's just one paragraph. Each paragraph in that article is rife with disinformation. Take the claim that experts were saying that without a lockdown there would be a 9% death rate for countries. Which expert said that? I do remember the 9% claim popping up, but as a death rate for infected patients not for the entire population. That's a huge difference!
Just utter bullshit through and through.
