RE:RE:RE:RE:Done Deal - Keystone's Officially Toast - It's That Easy...It isn't exactly Canada that's f'd up. It's the major parties and particularly the CPC. Believe me, there are more than enough of us fed up with JT and the Liberal establishment to change the government. We've done it before and we'll do it again. Maybe there where enough even when JT reneged on the electoral reform promise. I blew my stack on that one alone.
However, since Reform staged a coup in the PC's there hasn't been a palatable leader or ministerial slate from the CPC, notwithstanding Harper's majority win in 2011, which had little to do with his platform and more to do with the Orange Wave and the period of similarly hapless Liberal leadership choices of Dion and Ignatieff. One term of CPC majority rule was enough to see the gang turfed.
Ontarians, I would think for the most part, have come to recognition of the sad fact that JT was indeed after all not up to the job. We await a centrist alternative and we are just not getting it from the CPC. If anything, it's not the social conservatism - bad enough to exclude them from governing in the view of most here - but rather the cynical exploitation of social conservative issues and dirty politics that has us sitting on the sidelines.
Meanwhile we get the latter from the the Libs as well and are extremely frustrated as a result, We watched the leadership conventions in horror with slates dominated by unplatables like O'Leary, Bernier, Scheer, McKay, Sloan and Erin O'Toole. Today's leader has already shown himself to be an unlikely prospect to unseat T2.
Alberta, which I believe calls the tune, has to wise up and put forward a moderate leader and platform.
The ruthless politicos and bagmen have to be thrown out and I haven't the slightest idea how that can be achieved.

If you are an American your system is f'd up too and if Donald forms another party you'll witness exactly what we have, a different system but f'd up too. Justin is voted in by folks from Ontario and Quebec. The rest of us can't stand him but Ontario and Quebec rule Canada end of story. Yup we have a group here that is daft almost as f'd up as our messed up American neighbors.
