RE:RE:Markets will miss Donald TrumpAgree 100%. Trump was the master of disaster. He only cared about the stock market
and cozying up to dictators. By ignoring the pandemic because it didn't fit in with his
agenda, he caused needless deaths and economic hardship and destruction. Reminds
me of ignoring car repairs because you're cheap and it's never a convienient time to deal
with it. Suddenly your car stalls in the middle of a busy intersection and now you've got
an expensive tow job on top of the repairs to pay for plus it costs you a days pay for missing
work.
As for the stock market, the gains were not across the board. The idiotic trade war with
China killed their farmers and hurt their exports. There was a lot of of fallout from the rising
tariffs that each were engaging in tit for tat style. Anyone investing in commodities, which
Canada is a prime example, got slaughtered thanks to Trumps make "America great again"
ideology. Trade barriers and protectionism is a failed policy from the 1800's and has no place
in todays world. There is no substitute for being smart and productive if you want to survive
in the modern world.
