RE:RE:When I was young

RE:RE:When I was youngJust put them on ignore.  That's what I do.  That way I don't have to read all that OT BS and wade through paragraphs of politically opinionated minutiae just to get to the enbridge blurb in the last sentence.  Honestly,  you would think some of these people either don't have social media accounts because they have been kicked off of them or just don't want to post some of these thoughts  without anonymity.

Oh yeah, Go Enbridge!  ;-)

Reading the disparaging remarks and character assassination of well meaning people by the disrespectful ignoramus that don't have a clue is remarkable.  What were their parents thinking, or what were they doing instead of providing love and support and leading by example.

My hope is that someday, these misguided individuals will eventually realize how much time and energy they have wasted living out their personal anger and resentment stories instead of getting on with things that matter.  Otherwise, they will just end up dying without having learned or grown which would truly be a waste of a life.

My desire to post is dying because of the filth that I get exposed to on this site. I guess my parting thought, at least for now, is that ENB is a terrific company.  Those that have ended up as shareholders are lucky or smart enough to be invested in a real company.  The company is run by intelligent people who care about shepharding the future for its shareholders.

All of the minutiae posted about Line 3 and Line 5 etc (that I'm just as guilty as anyone for posting about) are just speed bumps along a long highway.  ENB has been cranking out 15% compound annual returns for decades and I expect that will continue.  For some, those number are not exciting enough and things never happen fast enough, but those 15's really add up over time.

Yep....I find at my ripe old age...I still learn something new everyday and many times that new knowledge comes from an unexpected source.  IMHO...one of the greatest gifts you can give to others is not money or material things but to share your experiences so that they may not make the same mistakes that you have made or to give someone a perspective on life that they might not otherwise have.

As a case in point....I was 11 years old when my Great Grandmother died....she was a fiery Irish lady and fiercely independent.  She lived two doors down from me and my Grandmother lived in between.  I went to visit them both pretty much every day as a child.  My Great Grandmother talked about all the inventions that took place at the end of the 1800s and the first decade of the 1900s (curiously...as a sidebar...you can see many of them on the TV show Murdoch) and how it changed the world and made some people very rich....she said to me at the time....watch out for such things and you will be rich...she was right....more importantly...the time she was talking about....an inflexion point...happened again in the 1970s with the digital switch and the PC/microchip....we are now at another one as we speak with green technologies and the movement away from a carbon centric society.  I have and am still using her sharing of her experience and wisdom when I look at the world around me and seek opportunities and I still think of her and the gift she gave me after all these years.

In terms of ENB...YTD...it's up over 20%...not counting dividends....and....that is outperforming the broader Canadian market....not too shabby IMO!!!
