I thought about flying to Tijuana and walking across the border to claim asylum, sadly my Spanish is far from proficient enough to convince them I'm Mexican. I thought too about telling them I was from Ukraine, from what I've been reading Ukrainians are getting moved to the front of the line at the southern border. Same problem though, my Ukraine language skills are zero, so that's a no go too. Unfortunatelyt it looks like I'm stuck here in Canada where all the bad guys are armed, and law abiding citizens are at their mercy. What a way to live.
Oh yeah I nearly forgot - ANOTHER home invasion in Toronto last night at Don Mills & Eglinton, this time two people were shot. I guess in Can-Er-DUH the only means of defending yourself in your own home from armed invaders is with a butter knife eh ? Go Can-Er-DUH Go !

Three strikes ended up locking up smalltime criminals and majiuana possession convicts for life and turning the U.S.A. into the worlds largest incarcerator of its own citizens in the world. And they are no better for it, In fact they are more worse off than ever and not get any better. Why in the hell would you hold them up as an example to be folowed?

The only thing I fear more (and I don't do it often) about coming up against a bad guy with a gun, is coming up against some guy who thinks he is a good guy with gun that has no idea what he is doing.
It is bad enough that we have law enforcement professionals that shouldn't have guns as they are biased screw ups with axes to grind.
The reason most politicians advocate for gun control and don't bring in three strike laws is because that is what Canadian voters want. Until that changes you are going to have to deal with it."
