What ENB might look like a year from now

I don't have a crystal ball.  That doesn't stop me from looking into the future with my best guesses.  Here are the factorst that I think will affect the ENB share price a year from now.

Covid may or may not be contained, but I think the fear will be controlled and the job market will begin to readjust to the new economic reality. .

The trend of big winners and big losers due to the new economic reality will continue.

Oil prices will normalize which means a little higher than they are now based upon a return towards pre-covid demand.

Line 3 construction will be a memory.  The Natives will realize that no rivers or marshes show any ongoing effects of construction but that won't stop them from seeking attention.

The proposed judicial shutdown of Line 5 will be on hold pending endless litigation as nobody wins from an actual shutdown.

The GOP will have hung onto at least one of the two Senate seats next week which will keep the environmentalists from running amuck in the USA which in turn will provide time for sane decision making in terms infrastructure planning.  If Trump's insane behavior ends up in a Democratic sweep, I believe Biden will still make sensible decisions that keep the Democratic left at bay to a degree necessary that will prevent a collapse of the US economy.

ENB will have reported a 7% increase in their dividend for 2022 at the recent Enbridge Day bringing the annual dividend up to $3.57

ENB will have met its targets for the year for DCF and CAPEX for renewables and will exceed earnings expectations.

Interest rates will still be low and will be expected to remail low for at least two more years.

The markets will have a strong year powered by a 2H recovery in the economy.

The combination of a strong market, low interest rates, and ENB continuing to do what they say they will do will have the share price up to the $55 or higher by the end of the year.  That means I expect that most of the analysts will upgrade their 12 month targets as the year progresses.

Hopefully, BRK will have reported that they own 30% of ENB and will continue to pick away on any dips.

I am heavy into pipelines. I got ENB, PPL, KEY, ZEO, AMLP, OKE and EPD. As you can see I am bullish on energy but imo Enbridge will hover around 45CAD all year. I don't mind it and I don't care. I live on the dividend. You guys underestimating the institution divesting. Doesn't matter how safe and profitable Enbridge or Pembina is. Most funds can't afford to have these high GHG low ...more
