Fiddy, I don't think the banks are getting special treatment today ... this period of the year is very volatile period. PS: Don't think can ask God favour on forums ... but what do I know?

The Canadian banks will do OK but not Canadian. Banks just raise the fee to cover the tax. The loop hole that Turdo open for the bank is that there is no fee cap.When the banks raise the fee, it is always overshoot. So, Turdo puts more money to the banks than punishing them. If I remember it right, he also demands a special dividend. Who can buy more share except the rich in yesterday which ...more

With a minority gov't, it won't be as easy for Trudeau to anally rape the banks.    Perhaps he'll defer action on the banks until after the NEXT election in 18 months time. NDP will support this policy in a heartbit. This is the perfect time for Trudeau to tax not only banks and insurance companies, but to extend the tax to other sectors including oil, energy, manufacturing etc. Realistically, why stop at banks and insurance companies?
