The dividend effect of Enbridge on ENS .....? .....

As investors bid up ENB as the dividend ex date approachs ( the second week in May ) can we expect ENS still to be at a discount and absorb the drop if any once the ex date is surpassed ?

I see us still trading at a discount to nav once the effect of the ENB dividend is absorbed .
Can the dividend even be increased by ENS ?

I am writing this mainly to wake up this once active Bullboard . Has everyone sold ?

I hold both to minimze risk. I like to play it safe while still collecting a good dividend that Enbridge can provide. the dividend is great in both especially if you buy when the price ...more

if you were asking specifically about buying Enbridge for its upcoming dividend.. I would definetely wait till the lst minute to decide and if the price has continued to drop i would buy some. :-)

Enb has gone ex-dividend as of May 12th with no effect on the share price of Enb . Therefore , the price of Ens was also not affected . Normally the Enb dividend may affect the share price of Enb - the dividend effect .  The dividend of Enb would have had a  -1.5% affect on the Nav of Ens . The market forces and investor behaviour resulted in no "dividend effect " . Both Enb ...more
