Everyone Calm Down

It's just gold futures speculation. The market thinks the Fed will raise insterest rates and stop inflation because Powell became a "Hawk" all of a sudden.  He didn't and they won't, there's way too much per capita and especially government debt and deficit spending. This is short term and a great opportunity to get in.

Exactly right. The amount of pain that even a 1 point rate increase will bring to the market will ultimately back fire. People will lose homes very quickly and the Fed will be right back to quantitative easing. Inflation is being caused by all the lockdown during the early stages of the pandemic and no other reason. Raising rates will not reduce inflation pressure but it will kill business. Once ...more
