Executive compensation

So the CEO was paid $450k in cash compenation in 2020. Overall comp, including equity was $570k in 2020. Average over last three years was $563k per year. I'm not sure what the compensation committee is looking at, but the metrics they are using are clearly out of step with shareholders interests. 75% of performance bonus is based on "individual" performance, and only 25% is based on "share price" weighting. These should be reversed.

The stock price has lost more than half it's value since it's IPO. If you factor in the time value of money, I'm sure the stock has effectively lost 80% of it's value over that time.

This is what an ugly stock chart looks like. Only the lucky few who timed trades have made money.

While they can just keep drilling and not actually generating any revenue; and while the CEO can keep drawing an enormous salary then there is no incentive to actually move towards production . . . . . you can just hear it in the boardroom "let's just drill a few more holes, that'll keep the sucker investors happy and off our backs for ...more

I think the problem is they don't have enough resource to justify the cost of building a mine. And I doubt a mine will happen without finding more resource, regardless of what the feasability study says. The CEO has pulled roughly $3.0 million of cash out of the company in the last 10 years in the form of salary and other cash perks (more than $1 million just in the last 3 years). And this ...more

They have enough resource to build an open cast mine and are planning to have one up and running by the end of next year - plenty of upside to this company but they do need to start promoting the fact that production is on the horizon and not just a pipe dream. A seven year mine life covers current market cap. The only way to move the stock upward by any meaninful amount will be a significant addition of ounces. They will need to spend cash generated from an operating mine to find addtional ounces. And the number of outstanding shares will continue to be a problem, unless they find something really big. Finding something big is a possibility, but they ...more
