I know who made it to the top 1% gainers - the former sheister CEO and the current 'Director" of Exn. The fraud artist took over a triving company back in 2013 with MC valuation of 700 million and drove it down to its current 30 million valuation while accumulating millions in executive compensations.  When Exn shareholders invested in the company over the years, the sharlatan - in  ...more

I believe Eric Sprott stated in a Sprott News broadcast sometime around 2019 that he liked Excellon and the people who ran it, which would include who you call "former sheister CEO". I believe he stated in another broadcast that he trusted their decision when the Otis Gold Mining Company purchase was announced. It seems strange that he could be such a bad judge of character  based ...more

Does anybody understand how a listed stock could have so little volume? Are people not selling, or not buying. I think there are only a small number of shares for sale because have been bought up by a few shareholders. The mm's throw out a few hundred shares here and there to maintain a market. Or is there just no interest?

Dayton guy I suspect a lot of current holders are not selling because they have decided to go down with the ship (like me). With 90% loses what the hel# is there left to lose.

lol. That's me too.

Silver, Erix Sprott loves silver, thereby his investment in Exn, but he is also invested in hundreds of PM companies.   I think his biggest investment in Exn was in 2016-2018 period when the company, according to its former sheister CEO itroduced its dewatering plan at Platosa leading to "doubling of production and halving the cost". The "sky is the limit" theme was ...more

Thales I agree, one should always first look in a mirror when it comes to a bad investment. I find 90% of the time the culprid is greed on my part being convinced of an easy 10 bagger by slick hype. My  remaining mystery with Excellon is exactly who decided it was a good idea to have the ousted CEO sit on the BOD? That's like going to my ex wife for marriage counselling.

OldGuy, There is no point in looking back. I still think EXN is significantly undervalued, just waiting on some good news. As you, I'm going up or down with the ship.

Thales. Based on Excellon's stock performance, your assessment of its previous CEO may be right on and if true he may even be  held accountable for his actions at some point. But that's the past, lets look at going forward. Excellon is no bigger gamble now then it was in 2015 when it was bleeding money from its Platosa mining operations with AISC's in the $40 range and ...more

Silver at this stage of the game  I am beyond semantics. Three hours ago another of Sprott's darling, Pure Gold Mining was put on care and maintenance and insolvent. Sprott invested a fortune into it, but as opposed to Exn, he is the largest PGM creditor, in addition to the largest shareholder.  So he will likely foreclose Pgm and and acquire PGM assets for a song and one day ...more

Thales, Are you saying Sprott is tanking these companies on purpose? The EXN trading pattern the last year certainly has been suspicious.
Comment by Thales12 on Oct 25, 2022 3:47pm
Not Exn. Excellon is more a 'hype and dump' story perpetrated by the former CEO when Sprott is after bigger prizes.  I have two recent experiences with miners that run into financial troubles.  In both instances Sprott was the biggest shareholder - America Gold and Silver and Pure Gold.  When USAS hit the wall  Sprott assumed 40% ownership interest of Galena mine. ...more
