RE:RE:RE:Okay then! Many distracting storylines here. And I don't see a whole lot of others chiming in. But the likes keep on pouring in!
I wish you no ill will, but I have well learned that stupid people make stupid decisions. If you have completed a career as a broker, and are still looking for funding for sustenance, it's clear you have made some very poor decisions along the way. I generally keep fair distance from these people.
Anyways, I'm long here in a personally oversized position, as I believe in the tech, and I know that the performance increase specs advertised will make a material difference in their competitiveness and marketability in this emerging market.
I'm hoping that we have both picked a winner, and I'm hoping that you can continue by any legal and ethical means to provide sustenance for yourself and any dependents.
Namaste.

I know you're not alone in finding them amusing. I get more than my share of personal feedback.
Watching a baseball game is more fun with an "announcer". Try watching one with the volume turned off.
It's not "Likes" I'm looking for, it's "clients". You can't eat "likes".
Other than my very enjoyable part-time position teaching kids who aren't able to attend school, this is what I do, after retiring from my 30-year career as a broker at RBC.
It matters little to me whether or not you believe it, but there are people who actually pay me for my impartial opinions regarding their portfolios. I do bring 30 years of experience as a broker.
The major difference is that I don't work for commission anymore, and I don't charge them per se. They pay me as they see fit. It's a mutually beneficial arrangement. A symbiotic relatioinship. Everything is above board. They pay me by e-transfer so when I've been audited, Canada Revenue looks at my bank statements for confirmation of income.
Some of the people I deal with are more demanding than others, and they compensate me accordingly. Some have my personal phone number, and they're free to call me any time. Obviously I don't respond to every email from someone who sends me $100 a month if they send me 5 questions a day.
It's very simple. If they think they're getting their money's worth, we continue, if they don't we dont.
Very basic. Cut and dried.
I have had a few such relationships for years, and I'd go so far as to suggest that I've become friends with some of the people I've met through these boards.
My "world" as you put it, isn't a small as you suggest. The only part you see is my public posts, which I submit purely for fun. In fact, I follow all the markets very closely and I'm intimately familiar with many stocks and a full range of other financial instruments. This was my career for very nearly half my life, and to a lesser extent, it still is.
Some here might find this "distasteful", but there's nothing wrong with it. This is what I do.
In the meantime, whether I'm right or I'm wrong, it's your prerogative whether to read my opinions or not. They're free.
Just like our beautiful country.
Amen.
