RE:O'bama boy

RE:O'bama boyYes, that's true. Bush could hardly read the child's book he was holding in his hands the day the Trade Towers were hit. He just sat there on a chair for something like seven minutes, seemingly unable to absorb what he had just been told. Anyway, by almost every measure the U.S. economy is vastly improved from the disaster Obama inherited in 2009, starting with the Dow which is what ... 2 1/2 half times the Bush low? This brainless bashing of the Democrats vs. the Republicans on economic issues is fantasyland, the same as the "economic management" bullshit we hear north of the border about Harper's supposedly wondrous touch in Canada, despite the plunging dollar, record deficits and the collapse of oil. In reality, governments are not much more than passengers on the global economic ship, but they all pretend to be when times are good, so let them own it when the economy tanks too. Small fact here in Canada: our national debt is headed towards $700 billion. That's the combined deficits of all governments since Confederation in 1867. Nearly two thirds of that total over 147 years, (more than $400 billion of it, or $2 out if every $3) has been run up in a mere18 years by just two governments - Mulroney and Harper. And the current clown we have has finance minister has the nerve to be introducing balanced budget legislation. How dumb do they think we are?
