OK, so in my second post I get to defend my existance. I have posted infrequently on other messageboards, none of which look kindly on accusations of sock puppetry. I am not an alias of Quakes, I am just someone who appreciates his efforts in providing information. Regardless of how you feel about Quakes, I think you would find it hard to deny he provides lots of quality information. The problem I have with his detractors is that they do not provide competing information, typically they launch personal attacks against Quakes rather than good debating points. Ad hominem attacks can be compelling arguments if you don't examine them too closely. I have seen him accused of "sitting on Dev's lap" and "cleaning Dev's boots", childish attacks that provide no information but serve only to attack him in an infantile way. I understand people are unhappy with the share price. I am unhappy also, and while undecided about the merger am leaning towards a no vote with what shares I have. It would be nice if the no side could stick to the facts rather than attacking what I see as an impartial provider of good information who really is not promoting the merger but rather promoting a wait and see agenda.
