DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE (ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND)
Have you ever wanted to run away and marry your BFF? On Thursday the 1st of September at 10 am Dev Randhawa and I (Lukas Lundin) were hitched to be partners for life aboard the recently commissioned super yacht Savannah in the tropical paradise of Sunset Bungalows, located in Port Vila Vanuatu. It had been a hectic few weeks in the lead up to the secret wedding then several days spent spreading the news over the net when we arrived home as we hadn’t told anyone about our plans. Much apologies to all those who may have felt neglected by me in the lead up, and even more apologies to those who didn’t get to hear this wedding announcement face to face (I have tried very hard to get to everyone but alas we are busy people). The day was sublime, romantic, simple, and fuss free. I would never have got married any other way.
There is nothing worse than weeks of wedding spam, which is one of the reasons why I deleted my personal Stockhouse, Twitter, and Facebook accounts. Might as well do it in one hit rather than bore you for weeks. So I hear you asking, ‘What’s with all the carrots?’ Well, since announcing our wedding we have heard ‘Eh, so shotgun wedding hey? Is there a baby on the way?’ The answer is YES! We are naming him Denison!
RECEPTION
When: OCT 6, 2015
Where: The Fairmont Royal York Hotel Grand Ballroom
Abracadabras: The couple custom-designed decks of playing cards for the guests, where the jokers, for example, depicted adorable white Indian rabbits sheepishly carrying the purloined bouquets of brides (thanks to the couple’s honeymoon in India). The bride wore a Dori dress from Hayley Paige, with an alabaster tulle skirt and a beaded bodice of Swarovsky crystals and opals, and a rhinestone-elephant-studded blush-pink veil. The groom’s black tuxedo was “rather James Bond-ish,” and definitely not the one he uses in his close-up magic performances, “I Am Curious Yellowcake,” “because that one is too tricked-out.”
