Dev's devotees.

Dev's devotees.

What Makes a Good CEO?

A good CEO takes the lead. A good CEO has personality, courage, clear vision with ambition to bring success to his investors. A good CEO encourages the team to perform to their optimum all the time and drives organisational success.

What Makes a Bad CEO?

Throw investors under the bus.

Rather than taking responsibility for what goes wrong in the areas that you are CEO, blame particular investors, when you know the responsibility is ultimately yours. If you are the CEO, why not act with dignity and protect your investors? When you blame investors, you look like an idiot and your investors will disrespect and hate you.

They will find out and they will never trust you again. They'll always be waiting for the other shoe to fall. Worst? They'll tell all of their investor friends about what you did. Your other staff members will then distrust you, too. Who will want to do business with you?

For the yes voters

Managers who are controlling and have all the answers want their investors to "check their brains at the door," and often say so quite explicitly — or they spread that message in more subtle ways.
