If Catalyst Capital had control over FEC they would get rid

of whomever in management responsible for the 600 million dollars invested in G. off shore and would do what they could to dispose of the asset to anyone willing to take it off their hands to take responsiblity for any reclimation costs.. It is not worth 0. It is a negitve because of fears they might sink more money into the sinkhole. The two wells were inclonsive of a commercial find and not worth the risk considering the costs involved and those already involved in offshoure G have years of drilling and billions to spend on their own projects before they would be interested in taking any part in this misadventrure. I have been right all along. Read my posts.

The Managing Partner and co-founder of Catalyst is Gab de Alba and Catalyst owns about 41% of FEC. Thus, he made himself Chairman of the board of FEC, so he would have to get rid of himself. Add to that, he is co-chair of CGX and controls all the $ that flows to CGX, thus he is also in complete control of them with FEC owning about 77% of their shares.  The likely good news is that no one ...more

I takes a special kind of stupid to blow over $1.5B and have precious little to show for it... and that's just series V. He still has other Series that are also outstanding and not delivering. End of day, De Alba has proven himself to be a tremendously successful con artist... he says the right things but never delivers anything of value. Frontera/CGX is just another sad example of his ...more

Needing no approval but the FEC board, which is complertely controlled by de Alba. The quickest way for de Alba to move cash from FEC to Catalyst Is to go back to the dividend scale FEC was paying (see below) just prior to stopping dividends and investing  $500MIL+/- in Guyana   I doubt any more big FEC $ goes to Guyana, unless it is a loan to CGX at loanshark terms.
