The things you point out may very well be happening. But I say, who cares! Either I get consumed by it and let it affect me in a negative way. Or let it happen in the background and put my energy into something else.
The more energy I put into these things, the more power I give them over me. Im my own boss. Nothing has power over me. Doesnt mean I dont get PO'd at life occureces. Ofcourse I get PO'd. Look at all the winy social justice warriors. Crazy. Probalbly even crazier than the Trump lovers. Who in their right mind protests like these two crowds do? What a giant waste of time.

Your theory of ignoring the news, kind of like putting a piece of electrical tape over that red 'engine' light on your dash, is the main factor in getting us on the path of collapse and failure. Without a fair and free press, of which now includes the North American main stream media, with the likes of NOKO, China, Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, etc, you are going to need much more than Orange Barrel to survive in that "world"....best bet is to hedge your position and learn Mandarin.

Due to ignoring the news, I live in a world with rainbows and butterflies. In my world there are no borders. Just a bunch of imaginary lines that make travel a tad more tedious. People in my world come from all corners of the planet. (We even have entities from other dimensions that come to visit us if we take the proper rocket fuel.) We're all holding hands, dancing and and hugging in a giant party of love. Come over to our side. Its way better than the fear-fest.
