Back in the index

Looks like FIRE is going back into HMMJ on Friday close (for Monday's open).

it will probably move more with other cannabis stocks post add.

Does the index typically buy shares leading up to the rebalancing date, or do they just scoop up a bunch of shares right before close on Friday?  Curious to know what size of a position are they taking.  Would be nice to see a 5 million shares MOC buy order on Friday.

The index doesn't do anything except add FIRE to its index on Monday morning. Every ETF manages adds and deletes differently. I don't know how HMMJ does it historically. Even if they do it all on MOC on Friday, they would probably make a deal with a broker to facilitate meaning the broker would likely accumulate during the week or find sellers who will accommodate.  Back of ...more

im wondering the same transporter. I thought Friday's buy was them. hmmj is about 500mil fund. Even if they put 0.5% in fire - would allocate 2.5million to us.  That's 13million shares at 19cents.  would be nice.......

Unless they buy in through the ATM (which I still dont know why they keep that damn thing open if they don't need the $$).
Comment by Greenman519 on Dec 14, 2020 12:37pm
I'd love to see them announce that they are closing the ATM midweek prior to being re-added.. but not likely

From what I recall watching supreme on hmmj...we were up to at one point almost 2%...but once we started crashing (well everyone) we hovered around .4% for a while then slowly ticketed to zero. Did anyone by any chance find an answer to this rebalancing question?
Comment by johnale on Dec 15, 2020 9:03pm
i checked website - hmmj - the last update for prior day holdings was december 11, and we were not on there. so that 900k MOC buy friday was another fund, and not HMMJ.  so HMMJ has yet to buy - bodes well for some future positive price action.  although they have a bunch of smaller positions under 0.5%. So I doubt well get a 2% position.  but with consolidation coming (tilray ...more

Got to be more to it than that joh, failure is not an option while success is within reach....those merging and/ or being acquired look to have few to no options. FIRE has options, with Beena and team having the restructuring more or less completed cash on hand, cash positive on the balance sheet, etc, there are definately options. For one, they could organize a good group of small batch growers ...more

.175 during a bull run does not instill confidence. with the company not disclosing what they believe their full capacity will be after the restructuring  no one knows what the potential numbers will be keeping investors in the dark. at this time I don't expect much movement until the company becomes more transparent or becomes relevant with more exposure. This strategy with only ...more

..pedal...have you ever thought Supreme may not want the competition to know it's business. We have financial disclosures...you need to draw conclusions from there. In this multi-million dollar business information is critical to a companie's survival. Any info that can be used by a competitor will be used for thei benefit or to the detriment of the company releasing that info. In addition ...more

Spot on Geo, FIRE is doing just fine and will have several options going forward and it sounded like Beena and team had plenty of options, of which few in the sector have as most need something beyond their control, and need others in one way or another. All this barking will turn into whine as usual...the best part is Beena does not try to appease this bullshite in any way in reports, tel cons ...more

We'll continue watching other companies flourish while we hold on to state secrets close to our chest and wait for numbers. Every one is aware of keeping some information from competitors in order to stay ahead of the game, fending off rivals. Who is Supreme's rival, the company can't even maintain a nickel rise on a bull run.  Top tier and mid tier companies utilize these ...more

..pedal...who is a rival...every company is a rival...yes they could have meetings at confrences...share a drink, whatever..but don't kid yourself they are rivals and they would not be doing their job if they weren't diggiong for unpublished info. A perfect example are the companies that are chasing the Covid vaccine. There were 40 of them. Now that Phizer and Moderna reached a milestone ...more

I don't disagree with you, keep the genetics, new growing practices, advanced technology etc etc, but a company needs to attract investors, be relevant and have a story. Again with top and middle tier proven company, I only expect financials with the odd NR, but with a penny stock they need to be relevant to the market, when a company keeps on missing opportunities to ride waves, many times ...more

...ped...Beena was not here 18 months ago...if she were things would be different. You have to go back to Nov.16 a month ago. Most of what you are asking for is there. Beena is smart enough not to project share price...all that does it feeds the rivals that they can pound on. Ever watch Poker on t.v.?...the first 2 cards are down the next 5 are face up where everyone can see. This is no different. ...more

The last 18 months, I was talking about the company, Beena has been at the helm since April.  Again I understand secrets etc, I'm only stating that the company is not attractive for investors. I've read the financials etc, and I don't want a share price or inflated guidances, I want a general idea what I'm looking at as an investment. are they aiming organigram type ...more

Agreed Geo, it was the same pattern for the .COM baptism and evolution...besides Microsoft and a few others that survived and thrived the majority are either part of those survivors or are nonexistent and forgotten. All this talk of FIRE failing, stuck and not moving anywhere is just baseless prattle, while reality is just the opposite and FIRE is actually very successful in this industry today ...more

More pleading for folks to swallow that bullshite ped, sad...need more of the back door boys from the nickel club, you seem to be the lone barker left in what used to be a daily cespool of the barking mad. It shouldn't be that hard for you to figure out when you are barking up the wrong tree or that chasing parked cars is not a winning strategy either....FIRE is and will be moving ahead with ...more

No surprise there ped, thought you were gone a while back, to resurface of late. I mean look at this rather pathetic plea for folks to choke down that bullshite...FIRE is not only a healthy going concern but more importantly in one of the few areas that have any longevity potential, if the system and this NA economy continues to implode.
