RE:RE:RE:Canopy posts $1.3 billion loss - going to be a nasty day In my opinion, as previously stated the government didn't create the legislation to make LPs profitable, they created them to combat acmpr because they lost the acmpr personal production ruling and had no choice but to start the LP medical program which later developed over to recreational LP program. The taxation as well as expense from needed personnel due to legislation requirements make it impossible on the LPs. When everyone in here is touting more sales will be the answer canopies loss is a clear indication that your wrong. It has nothing to do with sales, just the inability to break even due to the expenses involved. Black market/acmpr pp facilities barely were breaking even with No taxation/personnel needed, add those LP related expenses and fierce competition and literally it's a loss before the plants are even done harvesting.
Just think, even if there's 1 minor problem on the crop, the LP has to destroy the whole crop. Completely unusable. Good for consumers of course but for the pocket book of a LP that one crop getting cut results in a huge loss, think of all the power used and people to pay, wow, LPs have no chance. It's going to be interesting what the government does once LPs all evaporate going to make them look silly, we will see this year however, as numerous LPs will have their equipment posted on able auctions later this year
