The store I frequent is in Burlington - the only advertising in the store is for 7acres product - google images for relm burlington - massive wall signage! The budtenders say they can never order enough supply to meet demand - even though product seems most always available on the OCS website - no idea why.
Consumers, especially those who are wanting to try new products, walking into a store is the best way to have them expereince 7acres. The signage, product placement, and the recommendation of a budtender will maximize expore to the brand and product experience.
On a website like the OCS, you lose all that. There is no "shelf space" and all products, regardless of how amazing or a piece of sh1t that it is, have equal chance of being displayed on the screen and being purchased. New users don't know where to start, or thsoe trying to explore new products don't have any guidance except to just click around the website and hoping they stumble across 7acres.
Now the OCS sometimes on the home page shows products and wondering how they select which product/brand to show. Do they get paid by companies for that homepage space? What helps Supreme alot now is their 7Acres brand is now on the home page amongst the most popular brand. I assume this occures based on search criteria rankings. Great to see 7Acres on the board as that shows people are searching specificaly for that brand.
But it's great to see retailers dedicating shelf space and promoting their products and creating some good longterm loyal customers.
