Shareholder Value

In a number of her interviews and poscasts she state she was here to build shareholder value.
She is no idiot. She knew that Fire was a take over target with such a low shareprice and with all of the initiatives in the works. It was clear to everybody that the MJ industry was perfect for consolidation.

So my next question is to her and the BOD is , this environment was clear. Fire was a takeover target and you stated you were focus on shareholder value, why did you not put a poisin pill clause in place. It would have:
May have prevented or discourage hostile takeover attempts.
It would have allowed existing shareholders the right to purchase additional shares at a discount, effectively diluting the ownership interest of a new, hostile party.

So many questions I would love to ask the CEO and the BOD.

I sent a brief email this morning to them. F*&^ you guys Sell outs. What happened to repecting your shareholders? Response: Thanks for your message. Please take note that Supreme shareholders can become shareholders of Canopy. As Canada's largest cannabis company with exposure to the US arguably the have the better opportunity to deliver shareholder value.    Talk about ...more

I think Beena did what she could to right size Supreme, but they needed capital to expand their Cannabis 2.0 line.  I agree that she let shareholders down by not being transparent enough - lack of press releases etc..  It seems the Kincardine facility is a low cost producer of high quality.  Look to see Canopy shutter other facilities.  There is no mention of the Hiway brand. & ...more

Was Supreme waiting in the wings? I'm not disappointed over the deal. I do question if Supreme had rollout motives back in Supreme Pharmaceutical days, and bloated their market capitalization to allow for this day to come. I dunno. FIRE didn't move like others, even with a strong methodological foundation of fundamentals. Takes time to achieve consistent quality. Didn't help to be B2B ...more

Beena sold us out. What were the two bought deals for???? We didn't need the cash and the deb had already been restructured. I think it's clear now the dilution was to get enough shares to the right hands to approve this. Disgusting. This was the WORST possible scenario and the only significant risk I had indentified for this play and it happened.

I agree the timing without recent bought deals and the atm, plus the application to list on the nasdaq.  With 762m+ outstanding shares a reverse split was inevitable to qualify for up listing to nasdaq which I wasn’t  fan of either.  But with nasdaq or no nasdaq it was bound to happen sooner than later. Also has been mentioned here numerous times sp would remain around .26 - .32 ...more

Aurorahigh, I agree the FIRE warrants should be converted to WEED warrants at same ratio as the shares are being converted, and no doubt the new WEED warrants would have the same expiry date as the current FIRE warrants.   But the big question is what happens to the exercise price?
Comment by aurorahigh on Apr 08, 2021 6:50pm
It’s still ~2 yrs til expiry on original warrants.  Obviously they’re going to be priced at a multiple higher..  For some reason I cant figure out the math on the conversion rate.but I’d suspect as warrants aren’t in the  money currently that exercise price would reflect that.  Best guesstimate put it over 40$ which isn’t unreasonable considering canopy sp.

And I would like to know how much cash on hand [paid by shareholders] is Canopy getting along with the sghares?
