I will argue that this is not the type of stock to hold in an economic downturn. These stocks get hammered. All data points are showing slower growth for the short to medium term. Slower growth means less demand for oil which means less drilling which means lower prices. As I said, I think this one could be traded successfully assuming you buy when it is really oversold. Good company with solid management and definitely a stock you want to hold during a multiyear bullmarket, but we are in a multiyear bear market that will present many great trading opps
