Olympic Dam

Olympic DamFortune has known well before 1994 what the potential was. Why have they waited until now to do the needed drilling/sampling? The NICO underground test mine was completed in 2008 for 20 million courtesy of PROCON and there has been 60,000 meters of linear drill sampling. Why throw tens of millions away for a 140 yr. old silver mine with no production history for 110 years notwithstanding rich silver prices during the 1980's. Earlier FT share prices have been in the multiple dollar range and funding was forthcoming from PROCON more than once. It was a no brainer. In the worse case case scenario if the Olympic Dam equivalent or a portion thereof was proven, NICO would have been an extremely rich take over asset. The Australian mine is a monster.
