BAHAMAS

BAHAMAS40 of the 700 islands are inhabited. Electricty is provided by imported diesel. Bahamas electricity costs are three times that on mainland US. Bahamas is now installing massive solar farms with battery back up to replace 30% of imported diesel. Under sea cables will connect various islands. First stage.

More significant is that solar technology is now at a tipping point for a dramatic leap forward on cost and performance. Off the grid battery-solar stand alone technology is already here and gaining momentum via power wall, etc. for home use. Massive disruption is about to occur at galloping speed as the last barriers on solar price and performance fall away. Might explain why there are 96 battery giga factories built and under development globally.

When the next jump on solar technology efficiciency occurs the demand for battery materials will be insatiable.
