Canada wants to be a global leader on CM's

Canada wants to be a global leader on CM'sLooks like the G&M will be focusing on Canada CM mining issues for the next while. Interesting piece in todays paper with some insightful and often candid statements. Sounds like Rio Tinto, which is Canada's biggest miner, has very good relations with Ottawa - that must or will somehow bode well for Fortune Minerals given they now have a relationship with Rio. On the flip side, some statements pertaining to issues which have been plaguing the entire industry, but IMO, should start being addressed later this year as the Canada Growth Fund spools up ...

- Canada's politicians talk a big game in critical minerals, but the list of domestic companies benefitting from the mining or refining of energy transition metals ... is short.

- ... Ottawa is prepared to buy equity stakes in the next generation of Canadian mining companies through the Canada Growth Fund. So far, that funding has not materialized.
