I don't think the cobalt and other markets are giving the african covid situation enough consideration and I also think that there is far more corona there than we know and it's soon to show it's head. It's hitting South Africa hard right now, it's impossible that the reported rate of infection is Being tracked over there, in the way that it is here or in Europe. There is not enough medical infrastructure there to do that. SA is probably the most developed country over there and it's moving out of control, and it only gets worse.....what's going on else where? Well that is a function of what you have to investigate and track and if we think we are insufficient try to imagine over there......and it's in very early stages and very little ability to deal with it given the lack of infrastructure ....as corona moves north from SA it's likley a disaster beyond our imagination.
in USA, superstar medical man Faucci says we are likly a year from some form of normality ....that's over here in the West with the infrastructure etc we have..... in comparative terms medical infrastructure is non existent thru much of Africa including the DRC....cobalt gold copper etc etc commodities will be affected through out Africa and it could be literally years for this to unfold and get a handle on it. Heard mentality will come at the cost of likley hundreds of thousands of lives.
who is going to be able to work over there and what company is going to try to contain it and how the heck are they going to do it.......this is a potential huge interruption possibility and there is no way to contain it ....FFS we can even do that here. I am at a loss as to imagine the magnitude of what could really happen.
its a good thing that demand is down .....that wave is changing and markets predict but with corona moving quickly we could see a tsunami hit some commodities as supplies dwindle out of Africa as corona advances. I could be wrong ofcourse and for the people of Africa I hope I am but it's a topic that I am thinking is getting a lot of attention in the board rooms of African mining companies largely controlled abroad .....how with they react? How with the investment world react?
think about it....draw your own conclusions .....https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-53181555
"On 22 May, Africa had recorded a total of 100,000 cases. By 8 July, this number had passed 500,000. The upward trend is starting to resemble other parts of the world that have been badly hit by the coronavirus. Most African countries are now experiencing community transmission, according to the WHO."
Nut shell ..gold starting to soar ....cobalt demand increasing ....Africa getting worse and it's just starting....supply issues to follow.......NWT ? No cases at all ....where do you want to get your cobalt and gold?
