What's interesting is the commencement and duration of the three agreements - the Electra cobalt one being the shortest (three years) and starting in 2023.

Hmm, don't think Electra's refined cobalt is IRA compliant considering it'll be sourced from the DRC ... The feed for the Ontario refinery will be sourced from mines in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which produces the majority of the world’s cobalt. While researchers have pointed out human rights issues and accidents due to artisanal mining in the nation, Mell said Electra would ...more

If there is teeth in the IRA, no hope in h-ll DRC cobalt is compliant ....glencore would know it ...but they will be out lobbying to somehow fit in on rationale they will create. But at same time they won't want to miss out on what's gonna happen and would look good with Canadian or American sources? Are they talking to FT?  Also At same time Elbm can't be Ignorant of this ...more
